Ever wonder about Seattle’s history of business innovation? There’s a museum in town devoted to this (Museum Of History And Industry, or MOHAI) and you’re invited to a rare, behind-the-scenes private GSB tour of its collection of undisplayed treasures. While you might know of its beautiful South Lake Union museum, we are invited to visit its much larger archives. Please join us in Seattle’s historic Georgetown neighborhood for a two-hour visit of the MOHAI Resource Center and an optional no-host brewpub gathering afterwards.
We will have a unique opportunity to see and learn about special moments in Seattle’s history with artifacts from Boeing, Starbucks, Amazon, UPS, Weyerhaeuser, Nordstrom’s, Foss Maritime, and many more.
No Stanford account required. Simply sign up as a guest if you don’t already have an account or call 650-723-4046 to provide payment over the phone.
And since we’ll be enjoying history in a great old neighborhood, a few of us will likely end up pub or restaurant touring around today’s newest hip retail zone.
Please Note: This event is open to those 18 years of age and older.
When: Thursday, August 11th, 2016 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm
Where: MOHAI Resource Center, 5933 6th Ave S, Seattle WA 98108
