<p><em> Jim Wilcox, J.J. and M.B. Lowrey Professor of Business</em></p>
<p><em> Jim is a popular professor and guest speaker who teaches in the Finance group as well as the Economic Analysis and Policy group at Haas. Jim joined the Haas School faculty in 1978. His research has focused on macroeconomics, monetary policy, banking, small business finance, and real estate.</em></p>
<p><em> During his occasional stints in Washington, Jim served as Chief Economist with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and as a senior economist for the President’s Council of Economic Advisers and for the Federal Reserve Board.</em></p>
<p><em> Jim earned his PhD from Northwestern University and his BA from Binghamton University. Three-time recipient of the Cheit Award for Teaching Excellence, Jim is a favorite professor within Haas’ Alumni Network.</em></p>
<p><em> Frequently cited by media outlets such as NPR and The Los Angeles Times, Jim’s economic outlook is one you will not want to miss.</em></p>

<p>Description: As Amazon’s Vice President of Books, North America, Julie Todaro manages the physical books business in the US and the entire Amazon.ca business in Canada. Before joining the books team in 2007, she held leadership positions in finance , such as Director of FP&amp;A and Director of Operations Finance. Prior to joining Amazon in 2000, Todaro worked at Ernst &amp; Young and at Continental Airlines in both finance and corporate development. Todaro is a graduate of Texas A&amp;M University, and received her MBA from the Wharton School of Business.  Appetizers will be provided in a networking reception following the event.</p>
